Nasturtiums usually represent victory in conquest, but the various colors of the plant can have different meanings. While a red nasturtium generally symbolizes passion, courage, and strength, a yellow nasturtium is usually seen as a representation of happiness, joy, and elation. They have very distinct, almost lily pad-like leaves, and they grow as vines.
This series of wall hangings were created as an ode to my favorite flower. They are beautiful, edible, and easy to grow. Each flower and leaf was hand drawn and cut by me and then appliqued and quilted onto the wall hanging. They will bloom forever and brighten any doorway or wall in your home.
